My eyes closed suddenly.
A dense concentration of bushes concealed my face.
– What are you doing, Sophie?
He waited a few moments.
“Well,” he said slowly, “to remind me of my childhood.
“Hmm,” Alex muttered.


There was the wind that did not exist, blowing on my skin and pulling my hair back.
This place was not unknown to me, during the summer holidays I often went that way, I felt I could go back in time.
It was exactly the same place as he moved toward the bush. I had never seen such a beautiful meadow, it was as if someone had drawn it exclusively for me.
Behind me, I could hear the quiet murmur of the brook. The birds seemed to fill their spring chants alive, the ground covered with lilac and yellow flowers that fluttered in the light breeze.
A whirlwind of emotions swept over me. First was the memories he had of that place; Then that place was my refuge and it was still …

Os meus olhos fecharam-se, de repente.

Uma densa concentração de arbustos ocultavam o meu rosto.

– O que estás a fazer Sophie?

Esperou uns instantes.

– Bem… – disse lentamente – a relembrar-me da minha infância.

– Hum – murmurou Alex.

Surgiu um vento que não existia, soprando na minha pele e puxando-me o cabelo para trás.

Aquele lugar não me era desconhecido, nas férias de verão passava muitas vezes por aquele caminho, sentia que podia voltar no tempo.

Era exactamente o mesmo sítio à medida que avançava em direção ao arbusto. Nunca vira um prado tão bonito, era como se alguém o tivesse desenhado exclusivamente para mim.

Por de trás de mim ouvia-se o tranquilo murmúrio do ribeiro. Os pássaros pareciam enchiam de vida com os seus cânticos primaveris, o solo estava coberto de flores liláses e amarelas que se agitavam com a leve brisa.

Um turbilhão de emoções invadiu-me. Primeiro foi as recordações que tinha daquele lugar; a seguir, aquele lugar era o meu refugio e continuava a ser…
