Family!

When I opened my eyes in the morning on the beach, something was different. I realized that there was no sun. It was the fog. It was like the white-grey tonality of a cloudy day on the beach, but somehow it was the moody environment and a fantastic sight.

I saw several things at the same time. The children playing in the sand, people walk by the sea, although I was not sure where the sea was, and most people, with towels over their shoulders. Everything moved in slow motion, as in the movies.
– Ines, go and see the white blanket over the sea. – said Margarida.
– It’s very cold.
Ines smiled.
– You know, it’s cold, but the water is very warm.
– I don’t know.
As I sat on my towel, trying to forget the coldness of my body, I saw my family, very amused at the seaside.
I got up and went towards them.
– Ah! – I whispered. – The water is warm, maybe twenty-seven degrees.
– I told you. – replied Margarida with a laugh.
So the day was fun and in the water.

Levantei-me, e fui em direcção deles.
– Ah! – murmurei.
